yes confirmed. libheif 1.17.6 can't get metadata on this file. I waiting 1.80.0 version on vcpkg


In fact, I tried and compiled libheif v1.18.2 with vcpkg but the performance in XNView MP is the worst even with multithreading feature, I tried both x86 and x64 versions of the compiled DLLs but ...

This may be an issue with HEIC images taken on iOS 18 but I wouldn't know.

In version v1.7.2 and v1.8.0 of XNView MP, when browsing in Details mode, only Model data from a few files could be read and displayed and the rest are showing empty, even when switching to ExifTool at the bottom left panel ...

Scan file headers are set to always, I turned off Scan header and Catalog and updated to 1.5.0 just now to see if it's fixed but... If the scan headers are set to never, the viewer will not even load or show Info/Model/EXIF Date Taken... Thus the sorting with Model/EXIF Date Taken will never ...
