Hi,
When I have many images as tabs in XnView, I often like to switch between them with the middle mouse button. The problem is that the direction of switching tabs is reverse of what is normally expected. What I mean by that? If I scroll forward, XnView shows me the image that's on the left of the ...

Re: How do I add keywords or rating to a JPEG XL (jxl) image?
Oh, ok. I hope this can be changed in the future so that this data lives in the file. If this is stored in the file, it will be easier to retrieve rating and metadata even when using other software to view the photos or if XnView's catalog is lost/deleted.

1.7.1 - Images in "Compare" mode go out of sync when using right mouse button to pan
Hello,
If I use the right mouse button to pan in "Compare" mode (SHIFT+C), the images no longer move in sync. Left mouse button works fine for panning, fortunately.

How do I add keywords or rating to a JPEG XL (jxl) image?
Is it possible to add keywords and rating to a jxl image? If yes, how? "Edit IPTC" and "Edit XMP" are greyed out when I select jxl images. I'm using XnView MP 1.7.1 on Windows 10 Pro x64.

Re: 8-bit files saved as TIF and PNG open as 32-bit files in Affinity Photo
Yes, I can. The original image of the bird was in JPG format. The problem happens when I use XnView MP to save it as JXL and then the JXL as PNG. However, when I save the JPG to JXL with Affinity Photo and then the JXL as PNG again with Affinity Photo, there are no issues with bit depth.

Re: 8-bit files saved as TIF and PNG open as 32-bit files in Affinity Photo
Actually, you are right. I don't know why I thought otherwise. Why does that happen though? When I save a JXL image as PNG/TIF I would like the bit depth and color profile to stay the same. Is this a problem with the JXL encoder itself? Or maybe with Affinity Photo?

Re: 8-bit files saved as TIF and PNG open as 32-bit files in Affinity Photo
Yes, with 1.6.4 everything is fine, but with 1.7.1 when the JXL is saved as PNG/TIF (File > Save as) it opens as 32-bit image. Screenshot attached.

Re: 8-bit files saved as TIF and PNG open as 32-bit files in Affinity Photo
Sure, please see attached. When I save the 8-bit .JXL image from this ZIP as PNG or TIF, it opens as 32-bit image with different color profile in Affinity Photo 2.4.2. No, I didn't have this problem with XnView MP 1.6.4.

8-bit files saved as TIF and PNG open as 32-bit files in Affinity Photo
Hi,
Recently I updated to XnView version 1.7.1. Now when I save any 8-bit sRGB image as PNG or TIF, they open as 32-bit images with BT.709 (Linear) profile instead of opening with the same bit depth and profile as the source files (8-bit sRGB). Does anyone else have this problem? This didn't happen ...

Re: 2 issues with the Compare function
Hello,
I've just checked and the mouse cursor zoom issue is not fixed in version 1.5.4. I then updated to the latest version (1.6.1) and it too doesn't seem to have the fix.
