It's same in windows 10.
I don't thik it's windows problem. If the original file is not RO, then the Save As is also not RO.
If the original file is RO, then Save As is also RO.

If I try it in MS Paint, the new file created by "Save As" is always NOT RO.
The same behavior I'm expecting in all other ...

Ok, sorry.
It's Windows 10 PRO and also Windows 11 PRO.
XnView MP 1.7.2 64-bit
JPG files. I didn't test another format because I need it with jpeg.

Save As read-only file

Hello,
is there any options to change behavior with read-only files?
When I open RO file, make some changes and then Save As, the new file is also read-only. And it's not possible to save it again.
I can't find any option regarding this in program settings.
Can anyone help me with that please ...
