Personally, I reduce the maximum count of tabs to 1 in the XnView settings. I'm fine with that as I don't use multiple tabs in XnView anyway.
But the default value (max. 20 tabs?) also annoyed me. Having so many tabs just because of viewing and closing images from the browser was awful. I ...

Here the same. It happened to me several times during the last weekend. I hate the current drag-drop behavior so much.
It moves the items even when the right mouse button was pressed. A small mouse movement during a right-click is enough to move the folder somewhere else.

Hello!
Current problem:
I have to rename several hundreds of photos from "IMG_####.jpg" to "YYYY-MM-DD_##.jpg" ( {EXIF:Date Taken [Y-m-d]}_## ).
The photo numbering shall start with 01 again every new day :
IMG0100 --> 2025-06-02_01.jpg
IMG0101 --> 2025-06-02_02.jpg
IMG0102 --> 2025-06-03_01.jpg ...
