I don't think its possible for me sending you all the files. the main 001 and rest of the archives are about 45MB each. (app. 2.5GB)
The archive contains 1 big ISO file.
my question is, why XnView recognized 001 and how can I disable it from the browser? I dont need XV messing around with this kind ...

If you don't have Addon/Unzip32.dll, do you have always the problem?

oooopppppssssssss!!!! sorry Pierre. It actually crash only with 001 file type, NOT ZIP archives.
I was been mistaken since both have the same Icon file type.
Any way to disable XnView from detecting this kind of files to avoid ...

Have the same issue, even worse!!
Your method dosn't help me too much. already done what you've suggested, XnView is still crashing when am trying to browse folder that contains JPG and ZIP files.

For ex. I have one folder that contains several types of files including JPG, ZIP, TXT...
I can open ...

so, no worries if PS CS5 saves JPEG files with v1.1? I thought newer PS versions should support the latest JPEG's version, isn't it?

JPEG properties

Under Properties -> Image Format: Just wondering, what are the diff. between JPEG TrueColor (1.1) vs 1.2
My old PS CS3 was saving JPEG files (standard mode) in v1.2
the new one CS5 is saving them (same mode) in v1.1
i'm kinda confused here
any help??

Thanx again Clo for the tips. Seems to be very useful, wondering if it will work with my Total Commander v5.5 (i know there is new versions out, but i not going the buy a new licence for now).

Files Menu >> Associate with… >> Edit type >> Change icon…

thank u for your comment and the tool ur offering, but following the screen shoot i can't see where can i change the icons per FILE TYPE, besides i don't want to mess with the registry. i have no problems with the file association. my only wish is to change the icons.

Changing File Types Icon...

It would be very nice if you can add an option to change FILE TYPES ICONS extension or at least make it easier at Tools\Folder Options\File Types .
