Hi, XnView is a great product !!

I am unable to bring up any photo editing capabilities. I even deleted XnView, and reloaded v 2.34, alas, no photo editing, still...

An using Windows 7 ...

On my same XP machine, I tried the latest version - 1.98.7 ? And, am HAPPY to report it works with Thunderbird OK now. Wunderful, Thanks !!!

Currently, I'm using an older version on XnView (1.9.2.1), and in that version I can set Internet Explorer to use Thunderbird for email, and it comes up OK to send photos using Thunderbird. Machine is XP.

I have not recently tried a newer version, but whatever the release was back in October 2010 ...

My XP machine has all those settings. XnView refuses to use Thunderbird to send email, it only wants to work with Microsoft Outlook, regardless how the programs and email is set in Internet Explorer.

XnView folks, please fix your software so that the 40% of the world not using MS can still use your ...

Yes, I got it to work with Outlook, but ALL my email addresses etc are over in Thunderbird. Older versions of XnView would work with Thunderbird.

I also cannot get this version of XnView to work, except by configuring Outlook as my default email agent - I hate outlook.

Cannot get it to work with Thunderbird, even when Thunderbird 2.0.0.22 is set as the default mailer. XP Pro.

XnView is a GREAT Program.. But, I have my system set to use Thunderbird as my mail agent, and if I select more than a few pictures to send by email XnView just quits. No errors, hourglass is OK then it just quits and becomes a cursor. No error messages etc.

Hm, yes, I did find it, however it is VERY clumsy to use, not interactive, and one cannot see what one is doing, have to try it and see if it's what was wanted. Very difficult.

I'd like a batch control-M type of gamma adjust (in Photoshop) for example.

I'd sure like XnView to be able to batch change the gamma of images; I shoot lots of digital photos, and often they are just a bit too dark and need the darker areas brightened up a bit.

Suggest for addition to the Batch Transforms !!

Thanks, Claude.. Seems like I went thru this a year or so ago, and had forgotten!

So, Open Internet Explorer, Go to Tools, Internet Options, Programs, and make the default email program Thunderbird. (Besides, Nothing but hassles with Outlook!)
