Hi,
when cleaning up and planning to delete a folder it would be nice to see in the thumbnail/list view of the browser somehow if the listed folder currently shown is really empty or if it contains something that is hidden by the filter settings. Currently the thumbnails/list view is just empty in ...

Show if folder really empty
When looking into directory for which no files (or subfolders) are shown in the file list it would be helpful to have an indication if that folder is really empty or contains only items not shown due to option settings. For instance the file list could show "<Empty>" if the folder is really empty ...

Keeping zoom and scroll position while changing image file
Hi,
sometimes I photograph image sequences of animals (bird, spider, ...). So a larger part of each image contains less interesting background. To decide if a particular image should be kept or thrown away I have to zoom and scroll to the animal then either delete the image or go to the next, then ...

Re: 1.97.2: "Sticky" tagging
Thumbnail tag persistence is determined by:
Options... Browser>Thumbnails>[Icon Info]>Tagged file list must be cleared: [____]
Thank you.
Setting it to "After an operation" helps, but previously it was set to "After folder change" so should have worked already.

1.97.2: "Sticky" tagging
If tagged files are batch-renamed, the tags can't be removed properly anymore.
To reproduce this, do the following:
- Ensure that "Show tag box" is set
- Go to a folder with at least two images
- Tag at least two images
- Choose "Batch rename" and choose to rename tagged images
- Rename the files ...

Custom rotation: Smoothing final image only
I would like to see an option that smoothing is only applied to the final image, but not to the preview.
Due to speed reasons I always have to switch off "smooth" during preview but switch it on again before hitting "OK" (except I forget it).

Re: Same and simpler---
You can get the same result, just release the left button when the selection is done, put the cursor inside the selected area,
it turns into a 4-arrow cross :

then you can move the selection holding the left button…
Thank you, but ...

Drag rectangle like Picture Publisher
When making a rectangular area for cropping or for a rectangular mask, Picture Publisher 8 has a neat feature:
Making a rectangle normally means (as in XnView) that one corner is dragged around while the diagonally opposite corner is fixed.
