0.56 (Debian): XnViewMP installed, now where is it?
Guys: Just installed MP .56 on my debian 7 system (KDE 4.
using the .DEB file. Even after rebooting, it's still not showing up in the menu system. Is there somewhere I can make a manual link to it, in the menu system?

Sorry, things went out of control in RL after my last post, and I'm just now rebuilding. (long story, not on topic here.) But anything else can I help with? I found out finally I'm not on KDE 4.7, so here's the official versions

Could you post the content of XnViewMP/lib folder?
I'm thinking you mean this. A 'ls -la >>lib.txt' list? Here it is.

First found that strace wasn't installed. But I apt-get installed it, works fine now.

Ok, I copy/pasted that right into a terminal. I got nothing. It just did the command and returned nothing but the cursor.

Installing XnviewMP on Debian 6/KDE 4.7
Folks: I've been using XnviewMP on linux since MP first came out, but I reciently moved to Debian 6/KDE 4.7, and I can't get MP to work. I tried to run it though the command line, on 2 programs (xnview.sh, and xnview) I get these:

Thanks for the help. When I changed the .SH file with the one suggested by Pierre, it worked out.

Just got MP installed, and it works fine, using the terminal command: ./xnview.sh - I've tried to set up a simple menu item in the menu, with the same, but either it doesn't work period, or gives me something like 'Can't start the child process' error.
