Re: Can somebody make me a simple WebP DLL?
Maybe you can create one yourself from open sources? Indeed, and the libwebp-0.5.0-windows-x86.zip (similar: x64) already contains a (static) libwebp.lib + demo applications. Another example could be zeranoe ffmpeg 3.01 shared readme , where shared might be some kind of DLL (not necessarily STDCALL ...

Re: Free Icon Editors
Ce n'est pas possible avec XnView. Allez donc jeter un œil à ces éditeurs d'icônes gratuits . (Quoted link without the Google translate step): Actually XnView 2.35 also supports ICO in its multi-image creation, but only the normal format with certain kinds of BMPs. It won't put PNG files "as is" in ...

Re: emz (compressed emf), XnView crashes
using FreeCommander as windows explorer replacement (all of them X64 applications). The normal Windows 7 x64 explorer with XnViewShell64.dll also crashes (right click on EMZ). When I try to open the EMZ within XnView 2.35 I get an error message.

XnView has an "open with" feature, i.e., if you right-click on a file you can select "open" F3 or "edit" F4 to get the same effect as in Windows explorer "open" or "edit". For images this is rather boring, "open" in explorer on my box starts XnView, so when I am already in XnView I rarely need F3 ...

not sure which one is the best place to do. Something happened, your ticket is closed, there is a new version 0.0.0.3 of Xbpg.usr, and it can write BPG for XnView 2.35, if the source is PNG or JPG. I opened a new issue asking ...

[BUG]profil icc utilisé comme destination Thanks, but admittedly I suck at understanding French when almost all example pictures are broken URLs now. But I saw the surviving ICC color profile v2 or v4 test image: XnView groks all examples, Chrome only supports v2.

Re: Suggestions: Fit image to width + WebM format
None of the "auto image size" options from XnView offer this. When I open your heardis-office-design-1.jpg (1600x1086) in XnView I see it at zoom level 65%, because that's what fits in my XnView window. Likewise in full screen mode it also fits vertically (height, my laptop can do 1600x900). My ...

Re: A Windows Metafile .wmf bug?
Try to insert this .wmf into Microsoft Word document, I expect those guys should know how their format is supposed to look. I can open it directly in MS Paint on Windows 7, in IE 9 (whining that I should install IE 11 now, sigh), and I can add it as picture to an example.odt in WordPad.exe. When ...

Re: certain PNGs cannot be saved
Trying to do so with m96yxdgsf6j8.png [...] still results in an “error writing the file”. 2.35 can save this. The text chunks are gone (as promised), some 72 dpi pHYs chunk appears out of thin air, and the colour profile isn't identical (original: 2627 bytes, saved: 2520). Maybe libpng "upgrades ...

Re: SVG support via rsvg-convert.exe
If having a console flashing at each new file is a concern, then I guess that simply changing the subsystem flag in the PE header from console to GUI would eliminate this issue. I did that with the bundled bpgdec.exe and I don't have consoles flashing anymore when viewing bpg files in XnView ...

Re: Suggestions: Fit image to width + WebM format
Wait a minute, so you're saying that XnView Classic already supports this format? Then there is definitely something wrong on my system There should be an .../XnView/plugins/webp.dll (347 KB, 2015-01-19). If you don't have it download it from the Plugins page. Or get the "XnView full" ZIP and check ...

Colour count can hang
Counting colours in an image can be hard for cases like the famous ParkJoy 15722.sgi with more than 8 million colours in 3840 x 2160 pixels. That 16bits case doesn't affect 8bits XnView classic. For 8bits the worst case is 2^24 colours in 16million.png mentioned in the online version of the PNG book ...
