0.83: File order (e.g. EXIF date) not in picture view
Hi,
I select EXIF date as file order in browser view. Browser view shows files in that order. If I now go through that folder in picture view with forward or backward buttons, the file order is by file name, not by EXIF date.

Re: 0.83: XnView doesn't react for several minutes
I sent samples via e-mail to you.
500 icons in a folder cause a lag of several seconds, 4000 icons a lag of several minutes. I have an old and relatively slow computer with Windows 7 Professional 64 bit SP1.

Re: 0.83: XnView doesn't react for several minutes
When you have the problem, XnViewMP is opened with a saved session?
Do you have this problem if you have only Browser?
Only the browser.
I tested this:
Click in the browser on a folder with 600 icons in png format: no delay
Click in the browser on a folder with 600 icons in ico format: delay

Re: 0.83: XnView doesn't react for several minutes
do you have saved a session?
Do you mean whether I opened XnViewMP with a saved session when it shows this problem (no) or whether I have saved a session previously (yes)?
I start XnViewMP with the standard folder (own pictures). That happens with normal speed. Then I navigate to the folder with ...

Re: 0.83: XnView doesn't react for several minutes
Neither 0.82 nor 0.81 solve the problem
Must be another issue on my system. Or a setting in XnViewMP options that slows it down?
Has anybody else this problem and an idea what the reason may be?

Re: 0.83: XnView doesn't react for several minutes
Both links are the same and lead to the General Support forum.
The download link (x64 setup) in "Announcement: XnView MP 0.82" supplies the latest version 0.83.
OK, found it myself: http://download.xnview.com/old_versions/
I'll try and let you know.

0.83: XnView doesn't react for several minutes [Fixed]
Hi,
vesion 0.83 doesn't react for several minutes when I want to open a folder with several thousand icons. I think 0.82 didn't have that lag.
Where can I download 0.82?

Yes, as posted.xnview wrote:Format settings>Write>Jpeg>Use estimated quality is enabled?bege wrote:
- in XnViewMP the file size changes with the quality slider: 100% = 5,86MB, 90% = 2,36MB, 80% = 1,66MB. So Classic seems to be able to estimate the quality, MP not.

Re: XnView Classic vs XnView MP
I went back to XnView Classic because
after saving a turned picture the size and quality was less than half in MP
In XnView MP compression options have to be set in Browser | File > Format settings... for a technical reason that is currently hard to resolve...
In format settings if checked ...

Is there any need to have XnView beside XnView MP?
Hi,
I used XnView for a long time, then added XnView MP because Pierre recommended the improved feature to categorize photos.
When I changed from Windows XP to Windows 7 64-bit I only installed XnView MP. The only problem I came across is that the Media Detector cannot open XnView MP but only XnView ...
