Well, I investigated
NCONVERT Win version contains the DrawTextA and CreateFontIndirectA imports - adding text via those 2 means 100% API and 0% portability

I just installed XnView.
It plays .flv flash videos but they are upside down. Is there any way to fix this. (Other video formats are OK).
Perhaps a problem with the codec, i use DirectX
