I agree with Oliver, the screenshot looks good, but we must not forget that one might just want to rename files, or convert them, or whatever, so there should be a way to use just one feature, because for example, I don't want my Jpeg to be "re encoded" when I just want to rename them ;)

I think I agree with that, let me read the thread and I'll post my opinion there.

Hello? No feedback?
Shouldn't be hard to implement.

Improve Batch Rename

Please improve batch renaming by making it work like batch convert.
That means, that you can add and remove files/folders, and you don't need to highlight a file for batch rename to be selectable.

Thanks.

It's pretty easy.

I installed wine and, in my case, I just extracted the xnview-beta zip to ~/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/ and then added the xnview.exe to winecfg.

Then you just run: wine "~/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/XnView-beta-6/xnview.exe" :)

I make those words, mine too ;)

I've already switch to Linux, but now I'm still looking for some software and besides digiKam, there's nothing compared to Xnview on Linux.

Any news on the development?

I'm really looking forward to this, cause there's nothing on Linux near to what XnView is on Windows.

What? Who? Where? I'm pretty confused right now...

ckit said the default skin should be the one made by the author but I don't agree with that because IMO the author must only be a good coder/programmer he mustn't be a good designer, so it's wrong to think the author should make the default skin ...

That's sooooooooo wrong! The author (programmer) doesn't have to be a designer! People pay to have decent skins on their software, since XnView is freeware we must be glad to have some great skins to chose from.

I love that skin and that would save me a few seconds each time I try a new xnview version and have to change to that skin :P
