Default skin...
The designer of default skin toolbar can not continue to work on it, so it's a problem for new icon/bitmap.
Yuri (mezich toolbar) proposes to use as default toolbar his toolbar?
What do you think?

I've voted "No". I think the current toolbar should be continued by another designer. I'm not a designer, but I think it shouldn't be too hard for any designer to continue the current style.
The current toolbar was introduced in XnView 1.80, it looks nice and I think it's no good to change it again after introducing it so recently.

Yes good points, but I don't think that any designer is willing to continue someone else work... not for free anyway.helmut wrote:I've voted "No". Well, I'm the one who designed the Icons for the upcoming Total Commander 7. I think I could propably help here and design more icons fitting to the actual default style.
Personally, I always use mezich, but I agree that the default skin shouldn't be changed again so shortly after it has been introduced. I like the default skin too, but mezich beats it IMO. Maybe a change of the default skin could be considered for XNView 2
Depending on the amount of Icons to create, I can not promise if I could do this as a spare time project, but I would like to help if I can. Should I contact you by Email, Pierre, to discuss this?

Thanks for your appreciation!helmut wrote:StickyNomad, you're the angel that is around at the right time.Your offer is much appreciated! Perhaps you and Pierre agree on paying you some money.

Can I find somewhere the list of Icons that should be added to the default skin?

The full list…
—> StickyNomad
Hi !
• Maybe be an optimal list could be discussed¦defined here,
starting from the minimal one I showed you in that other thread just before ?
- However, I'm very interested in knowing the full currrent list too…
- It's very long and unsorted in the combo-box of the icon-dialogue, and nowhere to be found in the ressources…

Since I've already publicly outed myself as being the #1 Mezich fanboy on the block I had to cast my vote in favor of their skin.
I, for one, am convinced this is a unique opportunity that should not be missed by any means.
If you search the web you'll find quite a lot of passionate statements regarding their skin. Frankly, I've yet to see any of this for the current one.XnTriq (18/Dec/2005) wrote:And while we're at it: I'd suggest to replace the default skin with it or at least put it on the official screenshots (assuming there are no license or copyright issues involved).

I have my reasons for not voting but I think Pierre should keep the current default skin as default. I'm a fan of Mezich as well but don't think it would be right to have a skin from someone other than the author as default.
