Check if image is already opened

When I'm in the browser and click the button "Open" the selected image is opened in the viewer. When I click "Browser" afterwards, XnView switches to the browser tab. But when I click open again, I'd expect that the tab with the already opened image gets the focus but instead XnView opens a second t...

Seconded.

I learned how helpful these icons can be by comparing the menus of a freshly installed Firefox browser to the menus after installing this menu icons extension:
CuteMenus - Crystal SVG (on this page, click on the screenshot)

Something like that for XnView...that would rock!

Wonderful, thanks.

Another suggestion: are there any plans to add icons to the menu items (main menu and right-click-menu)?
That would make it much easier to find a specific item on the fly.

What about the tabs in the preview pane, like in the deluxe version? Would be great IMO.

Ah, now I got it. There were two effects that made me stumble:

- you can only toggle the third checkbox when the first one is checked
- the big-size-folder-icons are cached, too, so I had to clear the cache to make them go

Thanks a lot :D

I don't know how. These are my settings (note the last line). There's nothing more to disable (what about the greyed out one?).

Oversized folder icons

Damn, I missed the post from last November where folder icons were discussed. In the new version the folders are displayed much bigger than it was in previous versions. Not only that I'm not interested in previews on folders I also don't like this oversized folder icons. Can I switch that off so tha...

Re: Deluxe is dead, Hourra for XnView :-)

If you want a Deluxe feature, please post your request here. • The print preview looks good • The export wizard would be fantastic, but for this I second what Drahken wrote: ..., but with the ability to zoom in on the preview image (the actual size of the preview would stay the same, but when you z...

Remembering the last used item in the options dialog

When I call the options dialog from XnView either the "View" item is highlighted (when called while having an image maximized) or the "Browser" item is highlighted (when call from within the browser). When I played around with the thumbnail appearance in the browser I found it quite annoying that ea...

I voted "Other" because I was already a user while Xnview had its own newsgroups. So I kind of migrated

What would be the advantage of a light version? XnView already loads fast as lightning and I can't see the point in having some file formats not working. So there's only the setup filesize left, but why bother? To keep it on a floppy which no one uses anymore? USB-Sticks are minimum 64 MB, rather 51...

The best option would be if the rotation simply worked, of course. Since the data can not be written to the protected files maybe an option to write the altered data to the temp directory would be an idea? That way the rotation could be used to browse through files on CD without rotating the own hea...

RC3 - Crash on JPEG lossless transformations

:bug: Xnview crashes when you try to rotate an image which is read-only, e.g. on CD.
An error message like "the files you are trying to save are write-protected" or something like that would be much more nicer ;)
