Re: ctrl+lmb to zoom selection is not working
i press Ctrl+right click, make a selection and selection is zoomed
That's really weird, I just downloaded a fresh new 0.99.6-XnViewMP-win-x64.zip and extract it
Created an empty xnview.ini, changed nothing but the zoom selection option mentioned above
I can still reproduce this bug, zoomed view ...

Sticky Note Mode: hide all border, always on top
This will be very useful when place some useful tool image on screen
Demo of sticky note mode for xnview scenario:
Example of sticky note mode of Notepad++ and potplayer

Re: First startup after windows boot is extremely slow
It's really weird indeed, xnview is the only app that was slowed by anti-virus I ever known, I don't know who is responsible for this, ms defender or xnview
Very speculatively, could it be that you have your settings and databases in Program (XnView) rather than User (System) , and that ...

Re: First startup after windows boot is extremely slow
One expects security software to check a new download, but it shouldn't be checking an application every time it is launched??
Could it be that changes in the 'MP filesize or some other parameter are being detected, maybe due to program configuration changes? A test for that possibility might be ...

Re: First startup after windows boot is extremely slow
It's crazy, for XnView MP 64 bits after first startup
Windows 10 Pro (20H2): no big duration
log1.jpg
Windows 10 Pro (21H1), slow device: no duration greater than 0.09
log2.jpg
Do you have an anti spam and/or anti virus app?
oh fuck
I add xnview folder to exception and cold start takes 0.5 ...

Re: First startup after windows boot is extremely slow
From Super User (“ xnview lags when I start it ”):
Most likely it is trying to access a network resource and can't find it. Usually because the server it's on isn't responding or no longer exists. Timing it more accurately can help troubleshooting as the delay will always be over the timeout ...

Re: First startup after windows boot is extremely slow
I have not 10-20 seconds after a reboot. Please try another app using Qt libs like https://sqlitebrowser.org/
Tested with " DB Browser for SQLite - .zip (no installer) for 64-bit Windows "
Same slow as xnview, first run takes 16 seconds, second and later runs takes 1 seconds to startup
