If you are using XnView Classic, which seems to be the case, the best update you could make would be to install the latest XnView MP Setup version, unless you have a reason for preferring the ZIP version.

For Mint 22.1, at least, I found various ways to change text size IN apps, as well as system-wide. The Settings -> Accessibility choice helped alot.
In Mint Cinnamon I have Accessibility > Magnification and Zoom settings, one of those?

I *think* that is probably a Mint setting in System Settings, I'm actually in Mint Cinnamon myself but always find the many font settings confusing, however I know that in Windows everything can be scaled using a single setting. Maybe one of the many Mint users on the forum can give better advice ...

Which XnView MP version do you have installed, although I haven't been following other recent posts closely, I think the issue you are experiencing may possibly result from a bug in a recent XnView MP version and be unrelated to your dual-booting with Linux.

I'm using v1.8.6, so if you are using the latest version v1.8.7 it has obviously been moved, you should I expect be able to find in another View menu.
