I agree that the reaction of using ESC key isn't obvious. The impact of the option "Single ESC to exit (on start only)" isn't more: Tick box checked (default) >> Esc key always exists XnView on 1st, 2nd or 3rd stroke depending on which level you start  Unchecked >> close the browser view, let...

Yes it's filename, but it's strange that result are different! Maybe the character set used is different so "à" and "A" do not have the same weight in one set and the other. I tested further and found it's not consistently the same result. I used files with similar names (dates, numeric). All image...

It (may) occur :? Whatever the image size, a single or multiple images are selected, the fact it has EXIF data or not, an alert to lose some bits or not, right or left turn... The same image, same Xnview version on a different PC and you can reproduce or 'it may happen'. A graphic card issue ? More ...

Re: Batch rename: using the Directory field

Ok, thanks for the improvement.

Still the longer term proposal for change: I'll post in another forum so we can close the story for this release.

May I suggest to either rename it "Width/Height" to best reflect the expected result or apply a change to sort by Resolution and then by Name. It has changed. It looks like values are multiplied. :) Great improvement, thanks! Is there any second criteria for sorting? I wonder it it's file name but ...

It is the file dates (modification or creation) that are impacted. The problem still in 1.90 RC2. The option "Autoplay for Video/Audio" in Browser > Preview page has no impact. The problem is only if the option "Show in preview" is ticked for video files in Browser > File list page. As this is the d...

Neither me :? On first occurence I made a printscreen, in case... But as I've seen it 2 or 3 time I though it was permanent.
I'll try again and hope it wasn't a transcient error :(

Claude, I've found the DLL through the posts, 6th page. Not that easy as you are using RAR, which isn't freeware, where most uses ZIP as a standard. As the DLL file had exactly the same size and date as the one from Beta 6 I was just to leave it there where  I double checked with FC: there was...

Re: Batch rename: using the Directory field

If you select <Directory> as a field to use in the renaming template you get something useless: "C-\Documents and Settings\Username\My Documents\..." The column after the drive letter is replaced already but not the backlash. I understand that a user can take profit from the Replace option but it's...

Filter image in browser: Custom

Thanks, This custom filter isn't that sexy, anyway. I found it and finally understood the base, how it works: - It' uses the file extension only, - It's more to exclude files: extensions put in the list will exclude those files from display. All other files are kept visible (or you should put all kn...

B6: Rotation in browser need manual refresh

When selecting 2 or more images in the browser for rotation, the view isn't always refreshed. It occurs each time you select non-consecutive images in the list (say the 3rd + the 5th images).

Using file date for video clips

When using either Batch Rename or Change Timestamps for video files, the date proposed is wrong, maybe 29/11/1617 01:03 or 01/01/1601 01:00:00 where the actual date of the file is 05-07-2001 19:29. This happens because the file has been opened for playing in the browser, even if the preview has ende...

Filter image in browser: Custom

Hi Claude,
Back to the original question: How to use / set the custom filter for files shown in the browser?
I can't find any entry for this in the Tools > Options pages. Even in the last version.

French translation

In Batch Rename, the translation of "Filename" is as simple as "Fichier". Isn't it too short? Each time I want to use it I'm searching something where it's just in front of me :? May I suggest "Nom de Fichier"? "Repertoire" is also a bit confusing with "Nom du Dossier" where actually it means Full p...
