Re: Suggestions for improving the Change Timestamp dialog

... is there any special need for having the "noop" item in that dropdown? Pierre can you consider adding it back in XnView MP? The no-op - or "=" as we may name it - is very usefull for copying exiting right values while keeping the previous offset in memory for later changes. In MP (current 0.64)...

Re: Can not save my own configuration

Yet didn't try latest but version 2.13 / Windows 7 works fine as long as the option to store XnView.ini is set to "User". The issue is where the option is set to either "XnView" or "Windows" and users do not have admin-rights on the system . These options should allow all users of the system to shar...

Re: Change timestamp doesn't (always) work

Here it is. I selected a single picture from the samples provided with Windows. In the background you can see the thumbnail, with the (EXIF) Picture Taken date and the file modification date. The file properties are visible as well. I selected file modification as well as 2 EXIT date to be changed b...

Re: Change timestamp doesn't (always) work

Anyone else having the same experience?

I'm still using the standard XnView when I need to change dates. With the last version of MP the feature doesn't work anymore :(

Re: Change timestamp doesn't (always) work

Hi Pierre, It's not related to a specific file or file format (jpeg, txt, mov,...). This issue can be tested with any sample picture included in the standard Windows distribution. When it happened on Saturday evening I tried with various collections of pictures and single files. I tried also on my n...

Change timestamp doesn't (always) work

For some unidentified reason it happens the feature doesn't work at all. Select one or more picture, open the Change timestamp dialog, use the File modified date as source, add or substract say 1 day 1 hour and 5 minutes, select file modification date or EXIF date taken or whatever. Press "Write" or...

Re: Full screen - wrong data in the information pane

I checked with another machine, same issue. Both are running Windows Seven.

I cleaned the database to see if the issue comes from there but no improvement.

Full screen - wrong data in the information pane

In some conditions, the information pane that can appear on the right of the full screen shows information from another image. This happens when I switch from explorer/thumbnails to full screen, back to explorer to select another picture and switch to full screen again. The more obvious are the EXIF...

Re: Detection of removable drive

When a removable drive is inserted the folder tree should show it FYI: Same with 0.64. To reproduce: - Open XnView MP - Insert a removal drive and wait for the OS to recognise the device. The folder tree in MP is unchanged - Press F5, reduce / expand the tree from My Computer: No change, still no r...

No, I don't have it installed but so far I didn't mind. With same scenario, XnView standard reports an error but does'nt hang.

The fact is XnView MP report an error also but leaves a useless tab on the top and it crashs if we try to close this tab :(

Same with XnView MP - only workaround is to deploy via the ZIP package in a non-protected, public directory. Annoying.

MP 0.61 - problems with PDF format

Opening a PDF file, XnView MP reports an error "The file cannot be loaded" but creates a tab, named at the file. Trying to close this tab, XnView MP crashes (Windows 7 Family Premium 64bits SP1). I tried with PDF files from various sources (Adobe tool, GPL Ghosscript, LibeOffice, XnView -various com...

Re: Info about XnView's settings (store & load)

Is this a UAC issue? I think so. In the case I did the test with an administrative account so the password was not required. At least should I have seen the popup to confirm the access. This does not happen. If the Windows directory is protected, why not use the C:\ProgramData (equiv. to "All Users...

Need to change the location of settings

<--// Moderator's note: This topic has been split off from “ Info about XnView's settings (store & load) ”. //--> I'm using Xnview with Windows Seven and the various options for the location of the ini file seems not working as expected. See below, it's always in the user's profile. I want to have ...
