Hi Dreamer, Maybe you are right, but pls exlude the PathBrowse= from your request. Else bug #3 will reappear. The last used dir is stored within this key, and purging it will remove the information about the last used dir. I'm just happy that now it is possible again to remember that information, ju...

it's a bad side effect of the change of option "Purge 'Most recently used files and dirs' on exit"

Hello Dreamer,

that's fine with me (your remark about a "none" option is correct!)

Kind regards,

Hello Dreamer, no, i want the same :-) If option "Purge 'Most recently used files and dirs' on exit" is enabled, AND General>>Operation>>Startup directory>>"last used" is enabled, then the value of the ini key [Start] PathBrowse= should not be wiped out. But: what, if someone wants to have that wipe...

Hello Dreamer, thanks for your attention! this is already possible!! There is such an option in General > Startup. BUT! When using "Specified" here No, General>>Operation>>Startup directory>>"specified" is no good functional equivalent for "last used". Because the entry is static, whereas my last us...

Hello Dreamer, sorry, this time i disagree because it's not user-friendly; see http://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.php?t=16132 What's the benefit for to restart xnview using xnview's directory as the current directory? I vote strictly for the option to purge "all" the history entries AND to have t...

Hello Pierre, first of all, many thanks for this impressive work, and happy to see that the item * 'Fit image window height var" - http://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.php?t=15602 is implemented :-) However, oh, please help: now, i cannot remember the last used directory without deselecting the opt...

Small sugg. about "Fit image to window height, var. wid

Hi, i really like and always use the viewer setting View>>Auto image size>>Fit image to window height, var. width However, for me there's a little annoying thing. Obviously the maxwidth of the viewer window is restricted by the screen's width. If the calculated width of the image increases the windo...

Hi experts, meanwhile i tried using a very minimalistic inifile -> no problem reconstructed my "old" favorite settings from the scratch -> no problem So i assume my "good old inifile" probably contained some very destructive historical settings that worked like a torpedo ... (i'll try to find out wh...

Hi Clo and Pierre. i'm wondering that you don't encounter that exception at all; i permanently can reproduce it on at least 2 pc's; win xp SP3 and win2K. So i tried to make it reproducable by: 1) put the test bitmap acGotoSystem.bmp into a separate fresh/new directory 2) unzip XnView-win.zip from th...

Hi Clo, done (bitmap and inifile). The strange thing ist: as i try it now with a this simplified directory (containing only the bitmap and the inifile) the exception does not occor when _entering_ this directoy but when _leaving_ it. Playing around with "use alpha channel" true vs. false and/or remo...

Hi Clo :-) i'm aware that those delphi "bad alpha channeled" bitmaps seem to be a little bit irregular but it would be nice to to keep them to be displayed ... Hm i'm hoping you can get it by that (but here it appears to be converted to a png? A possiblity to mail it?) http://img89.imageshack.us/img...
