Re: 0.88 Linux. system theme not adhered
So you have Qt 5.7.1, unless you have installed a newer version.sissou wrote:Debian Stretch 64 with XFCE.
My workaround works on Ubuntu 16.04 (with XFCE4 and Qt 5.5.1) and on Ubuntu 17.10 (with Gnome3 and Qt 5.9.1).
Strange that it doesn't work for you

1. Download the attached lib.tar.gz and extract it in your XnView directory (for example in /usr/local/XnView)
2. Launch XnView as:
xnview -platformtheme gtk2
and you should get the system theme.

Re: 0.88 Linux. system theme not adhered
I found another way to get the system themes applied when using XnView 0.88. Here are the steps:
1. Download the sources of the qt5-style-plugins package (see attached qtstyleplugins-src-5.0.0.tar.gz tarball)
2. Compile the package using Qt 5.9.2 (or use the attached lib.tar.gz tarball that ...

after installing adwaita-qt, i have themes subfolder in qt5/plugins
you can search for adwaita.so?
On Ubuntu 17.10 (artful aardvark), the adwaita.so library is located in /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/qt5/plugins/styles

I don't know!xnview wrote:but why is it written? "GTK+ 2 versions of the Adwaita and High Contrast themes"
If you don't trust me (and I understand), just do this:
cat /usr/share/themes/Adwaita/gtk3/gtk.css
You'll get this:
/* Adwaita is the default theme of GTK+ 3, this file is not used */

OK, I got the point: you have to install the package gnome-themes-standard. Then you'll have the Adwaita and Adwaita-dark themes.xnview wrote: yes done, but i don't have Adwaita-dark

Hi Pierre,
in Ubuntu, you have to install the gnome-tweak-tool package. Then launch this tool and in the Appearance tab you will find the default themes and you can switch between them.
Linux Mint uses the Cinnamon desktop, so I don't know if these instructions apply...
