They are referring to copy path of an image, not the folder where the image is

Re: XnView Shell Extension fails to update

Is this going to be implemented in future setup versions? I really hope so...even though the v3 of that installer was released in 2002, it already had the feature ShellExtension setup missing in 2010 ;)

Looking forward seeing working installer and revised XnView update feature.

Re: XnView Shell Extension fails to update

Right, but my point is all that is the installer's job, not user's. What is the point of an installer that can't install the software?

[EDIT] sorry, missed that topic...[/EDIT]

Re: What is XnView MP?

Oh...XnViewMP reminds me of Bill Clinton's strategy on how to improve education in the country and make students get higher grades: lower the requirements... To me XnViewMP looks like a castrated version of normal XnView, with a fraction of features. It seems instead of adding features to other plat...

XnView Shell Extension fails to update

Hello. This bug goes as far back as I can remember, when a previous version of XSE is installed and was used recently, then new version fails to install with error message saying that copying XnViewShellExt.dll fails due to permissions, with 3 options: retry, ignore, or cancel. Obviously retry doesn...

Re: Add "Copy Path" to the Rigt Click Menu

Here is my vote for this feature as well.

As of shell extension, if you are using Windows 7, you can do SHIFT + Right Click, it will show you that option (it's a W7 native feature)

Re: XnView Shell Extension (Support & Development)

Previewing audio and video through the shell context menu??? But why. It's not needed and if actually added would rely upon Windows Media Player.... Why? - Same reasons why previewing images via shell context menu is useful. You probably never tried PicaView ... Here is a quick example why it would...

Re: XnView Shell Extension (Support & Development)

Is there any plans add support for previewing any files that XnView currently supports (images, video, audio), not only image files?

[REQ] More user friendly check for updates, please

Hello. I'm so glad XnView is being updated quiet frequently - it means it's constantly improving even though it's already near-perfect software  One thing could be improved - the check for updates feature. Currently when there is an update it displays an "alert" box about the update with a ...

Re: Shell extension that comes with complete package is 32bit

What I meant was the installer could easily carry both 32 and 64bit versions and install the needed one based on type of the OS, instead of installing something that will not work at all. Right?

Shell extension that comes with complete package is 32bit

Hello!
The shell extension that cames with complete package is 32bit only. On 64bit OS the installation will offer to install that extension, it will succeed without any errors, but will not be used by the OS. Users will have to manually download and install 64bit version.
