Re: Problem with saving pictures with GflAx [VB]

First I must say, that I'm a real GFL SDK newbie, so my advice might be completely wrong. The error code raised would help to find the problem. I assume that you get a "-2147220504 No file opened". Since you do not load an existing bitmap using GFL SDK, I assume that you have to call NewBitmap first...

Re: How to use XP skins

How to use XP skins Not quite sure what you mean. Could you explain your question/problem in more detail, please? If you want to look XnView more like "Windows XP", you can use the following settings to get XP style menus and a skin that fits nicely to XP: 1.) Select "Tools->Options" 2.) In the Opt...

Re: Images with .eml extension

I'm trying to find a program that will convert eml files so that i can view them. I just had a look on www.filext.com to find out about the .eml format. There it says that it is a format for e-mail files. So I doubt that XnView will ever be able to display this format. If "your" .eml file contains ...

Thanks for your good descriptions. With these, the problem was really easy to reproduce. At first glance, everything looks fine, but as you write in your bug reports, a major part at the bottom of the image is not shown anymore, as if it was covered by the statusbar. Indeed a bug which should be fix...

Integrating H?QX magnification filters

I have just made a quick test with the image of the "Post reply" button which can be seen at the top and bottom of each post here in the newsgroup. The 2x magnified image was so-so. Then I've tried to enlarge an icon, that result was pretty good. I think the magification result depends very much on ...

Sure enough, this should not be just one big save dialog, but more like a wizard, that means several dialogs or dialog pages after each other.

Re: Problem opening JPEGs

Alain, the author of the statistics program "Brodgar" could find the problem. It was the way Brodgar invoked the graphic viewer. Alain will fix this and provide a version which will work with XnView.

Re: Window position - 1.50 (Linux)

Your post was o.k., is helpful and appreciated. I just wanted to make you and other people a bit aware that most readers are not so much interested in reading long bug lists. Also, replying to bug lists is difficult - threads might get very long or not replied at all. As written before: For reportin...

Re: Window position - 1.50 (Linux)

That's quite a number of bugs. Pierre is currently working on the Unix/Linux version and I think that he'll address the major bugs, too. Note: If possible, place one bug per post. If you have several bugs (and you're pretty sure that these are bugs), you can mail them with a description on how to re...

Re: Different icons depending on filetypes?

In XnView you cannot set different icons per file type, but you can set this in the MS Explorer: 1.) Start MS Explorer 2.) Select "Extras->Folder Options" 3.) Select the folder tab "File Types" 4.) In the list of file types, select the file type you want to assign a special icon. 5.) Select the butt...
