You can use "Ctrl-e" (or alt-enter) and then press the right arrow to go to the exif tab. (No need for the mouse :)) I would find it useful if the properties window would remember the last open tab and show that the next time it is opened. if possible, could you, please, add a hot key for showing EXIF information.
Ctrl+E opens only general info panel, and there's still need ot take the mouse and click on the EXIF pane. I think, using some of the F keys would be very convenient.
