XnView as standard Windows viewer

Post by vitar »

Hello,
I am using XnVeiw as a viewer for graphic files, so it's called by Windows when I open a file.
Could you tell, please, how can I make it so that it does not open additional copy of the programme each time I open a new file, but either closes the previsous file and open the new one (like a standard picture viewer) by the same copy of XnView; or just open this new file in addition to the previous one by the same copy of the programme?
And also: how to set it so that they are opened in "best fit" window, not in a small one?
Thank you!

You must set Option/General/startup/Only one instance

Pierre,
Thank you very much!
But is it possible that new picture are opened _instead_ of the previous one, not additionally? And what about opening pictures in maximazed window (not full screen)?

Try this:
- options > view > only one view opened
- options > general > startup > maximize xnview at startup (and disable "start view in fullscreen")
