I did. Open pic from TC into browser mode, hit enter (preview mode with maximized window), then hit and hold picture down button - XnView rushes through 2 or 3 pictures and then crashes immediately with a BEX error (whatever that is). Vista 32.xnview wrote:Please try XnView 1.96 beta

Why not to use 'compare picture'?
Why does it always open a full screen window, even if I had changed the window size and closed it then?
You talk about the MDI child window, and not the main window, right?
I am talking about the 'Compare Picture' window - maybe that is an MDI window, don't ...

I just did some tests. I have lots of pics (12.000), 192x144 thumbnails, and my cache had been 800 MB. I changed from Lossless to Lossy (High Quality). There is no visible difference but the cache decreased to 200 MB.

Please enable 'Use alpha channel'
