This forum has been messed up for over a year. And now I'm trying to be Mr. Nice Guy and change my e-mail address and keep getting rejected because of a password. But I'm logged in.
It ain't worth the trouble.

Re: Backup all settings to reg file
But it doesn't save ALL settings in that one file, namely the customized toolbar settings which are instead saved in a couple of .bar files, and in a place entirely different than the default Program Files folder .ini file.

Re: Improvement of 'Create strip of images'
Do people's posts on this site have a habit of evaporating without reason given?
Your post didn't evaporate, Irving, it was just moved to the topic mentioned above ( here ). Naming discussion should continue in that topic, not in this one.
Oh, okay. I suggest the moderators at least mention it ...

Re: Improvement of 'Create strip of images'
For years it used to be called Panorama, but for some reason it was changed. Maybe (and that's a very strong maybe) it should go back to being Panorama with join images added, such as
Panorama (join images)
or
Join images (Panorama)
"Panorama (join images)" is my choice.

Yes, you're right. It's just that when the first thing you read is "delivers a lossy compressed image of better perceptive quality" then you'll usually faint before clicking on a link.Drahken wrote:

Re: ability to edit EXIF name or date/hour
How about the ability to add or remove your name in the EXIF?
What do you means by 'your name'??
With Canon's, (well, at least with the ones I know of, the A510, the A710, and the SX100) it's Owner name . Example:
Camera Manufacturer : Canon
Camera Model : Canon PowerShot SX100 IS

Re: JPEG XR write support - half the file size of JPEG
"delivers a lossy compressed image of better perceptive quality than JPEG at less than half the file size". As well as having other advantages as described in the link. So this sounds like the best format for archiving pictures!
It's lossy ! That means data is lost forever, meaning it's not ...

ability to edit EXIF name or date/hour
No doubt this has been asked before, but I've searched the site until my eyes are bleeding. Forgive the repetition.

shell 2.60 doesn't save original date or time
Shell extension 2.60 doesn't save original date and time even though it's selected. Did a clean uninstall of the previous shell, 2.40 and restarted before installing 2.60.
