ability to edit EXIF name or date/hour

Post by Irving »

No doubt this has been asked before, but I've searched the site until my eyes are bleeding. Forgive the repetition.

How about the ability to add or remove your name in the EXIF?

And thanks to the morons again messing with Daylight Savings Time, :x  I'd like to be able to change the hour in the EXIF. (I have a bunch of Christmas parade images with the wrong info)

Edit/Remove location coordinates too

Post by kaon »

I've wanted to have edit EXIF for these other reasons:

Case 1:
Photos taken by iPhones and other smartphones often have GPS coordinates in EXIF, this is sometimes useful, but sometimes needs to be removed before publishing online.
Batch deletion of location coordinates would be useful.

Case 2:
I've had a photographer take hundreds of photos for me, but the EXIF had the wrong date/time due to him not setting the internal clock of the camera.
It would have been useful to be able to edit the time as a batch, by say adding for example: 2 years, 4 months, 5 days, 6 hours, and 7 minutes to each of the photo's EXIF.

I'd like to be able to edit Exif in general, but especially being able to remove the "Software" info from all my photos, I don't like how every other editor just adds that line without asking me.
