Ok .. I loaded something that was basically text and got the same thing. With a lot of text that may be as good as it gets. Pictures of people, buildings et al load fine here, probably with a similar loss of detail but your mind can fill in the rest You might just check with a not text rich picture ...

I just did three files as thumbnails and they looked ok here What version of XnView MP are you using and what is your operating system? Try Optimizing and see if that helps. And make sure you have not set a limit on thumbnails on the SETTINGS / CATALOG page

In the quick search bar at the top. just type .arw. Copy it so you can just paste it as you go from folder to folder If you want the entire program to never show anything BUT .arw files, I would guess it could be done via Settings / Browser / File List / Custom Filters but I have never done much the...

I just discovered something that ACDSEE would not do I can covert all my PSP, PSPIMAGE and the ancient TUB files to PNG and saving the transparency as long as there are no layers involved. I built a toolbar to hold all the things that I don't want to continually have hunt in the menus
Rebuild thumbnails is one of them :mrgreen:

The simplest way is to move to one of the folders and then the next.
