File operations - backup
there is an inconsistency in the naming of backups:
- name.xnbak.ext - Lossless operations
- name.ext_original - writing GPS in Browser
- name.ext.bak - writing metadata to read-only file

Suggestion

• unify backups naming to
  - name.ext.xnbak (easy to distinguish app's backups) OR
  - name.ext.bak
  
  benefits:
  - file icon automatically changes to blank in win file explorer
  - file automatically excludes from Viewer filelist
  - file can be excluded in Browser's Custom filter

i use name.xnbak.ext and not name.ext.xnbak to keep extension, else file can be as unknown type like name.ext_original

ok, but is it possible to use the same naming convention throughout the app?

This problem is supposed to be fixed in XnView MP 1.9.3. Please check and confirm the bug fix here.
