1.6.4 Regarding increase in Webp file size due to libwebp version upgrade

Post by abobong »

I encoded it with the following settings.
001.png
001.png (6.64 KiB) Viewed 847 times
In XnviewMP1.5.5,
This sample was able to convert 30 bytes.
sumple2.png
sumple2.png (96 Bytes) Viewed 847 times
In later versions, (in my case) I was able to encode with 34 bytes.

・ Is it possible to encode with 30 bytes even after XnviewMP1.5.5?

-postscript-

1. Extract cwebp from the latest libwebp-1.3.2-windows-x64.zip and
a.png
a.png (25.22 KiB) Viewed 847 times

2. Built into the GUI.
b.png

3. Samples were compressed using the same settings as XnView MP
omake1.png

4. Compressed sample properties
omake2.png
omake2.png (16.43 KiB) Viewed 847 times

For genuine libwebp-1.3.2,
I was able to compress it to 30 bytes without any problems.

I sincerely hope this post will help you share your issue across forums and your issue will be resolved...

Do you have the same output with latest cwebp?
