Xnview constantly crashes when cropping

Xnview 1.98.5 constantly crashes when cropping. Using Vista home premium.

You select the rectangle, crop and crash??

I cannot recreate a crop crash. Was image very large?

I have just installed the latest version of XN View (1.99.6) and have encountered the same problem. Program crashes when cropping.

are you able to reproduce it? Which size of picture?
