FLV Thumbs?

Post by vommie »

Hi

I don't get XnViewMP to display me thumbs of FLVs and some other video types. I use 0.39 x64 on Win7 x64.

I found this thread for XnView. But it seems this download does not work with MP and/or x64. I even downloaded the newest versions (x32 and x64) of ffmpeg and extracted them to XnViewMP\plugins\codecs, but still no success. I don't know what the pthreadGC2.dll is for and if it's a problem if it's x32.

ffdshow, of couse also x64, and with several decode settings for flv-files and their codecs, does not do the job too.

Is there a way to get this working? Best and easiest way would be to do this with ffmpeg I think.

Edit: Oops, wrong section, should be in XnViewMP Feedback

Hallo,
I´m experiencing the same problem with latest no-mp-version. No FLV Thumbs. I thought it should be a codec problem. So I deinstalled xnview, irfanview, klite, ... and cleaned up. Afterwards I installed klite standard and then xnview, but no progress.
Funny though, that there are thumbs in the explorer and I can play all video formats.
So I think, something in the configuration of xnview with klite doesn´t work. (win xp).
Any ideas?

Best
Gerd
