DPX writing trouble

Post by cpinla »

I have been reading old posts about Nconvert converting 10bit dpx to 8 bit when the files are read. However, I have not been able to figure out what combination of arguments I need in order to save out a 10bit dpx. I am aware that XnView can in fact do this as I have been able save out the 10 bit dpx and it works great (using the additional DPX write options), but unfortunately those settings don't get exported when I use the export button from the Batch Processing window.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Chris

With Nconvert you must use a lut to convert 8=>10 bits (-ilut)
You have 2 lut in XnView package

Is there a way to use the 8 to 10bit lut but not have it affect the color information to the image? I essentially just want a 1 to 1 copy of my dpx image with text applied over the top, however if I use the ilut and olut features it shifts the color information of my image.

Using or not lut, it's the same...
