Hi there, I've just installed XnView 1.98.8 on Win XP Professional (SP3). I'm trying to view PSD layered images saved in Photoshop CS2. When PSD file does not contain any alpha channel, it displays the image correctly. If it has an alpha channel (whatever content - even full white, which should be entirely solid), it is completely transparent in browser, view and fullscreen, therefore can't be seen at all. Till now, I've been using an older version of XnView and it worked correctly, even if the file had more than one alpha channel, it used the one on first position. So I thought it might be a bug, right? Aside from that, XnView is great, thanks a lot!

Re: PSD alpha channel makes image transparent
My initial report was not entirely corret, I tried to find more about the problem and must say that I don't understand the rules behind it. I'm usually working with 3 kinds of resolution in PSD files. While 1280x768 has no problem and displays the alpha channel correctly, 1280x800 has the aforementioned problem. Then there is 640x480 which, no matter what alpha channel I add, is always solid without any transparency whatsoever. So I am at loss here. I'd appreciate any comment or help, perhaps there are some options or settings I neglected to set?
