0.49 - 5-7 seconds per image after double clicking on it

Post by Litr »

(My English is very bad, but I can not keep quiet  )

All of the following occurs after a full reading and creating thumbnails:

In folder with lots of image (3000-4000), there is a significant delay to opening single image - 5-10 seconds per image after double clicking on it.
And also a long delay to open folder listing with these pictures (even if the table view mode turned on, not thumbnails) - again 5-10 seconds.

At same time, instant return to file/thumbnail list from opened image...

Thumbnail size: 234, HQ, lossless, with Sharpening
Folder content: jpeg, gif, png

5-7 seconds on the SSD with Core i7 3500 MHz / 8 gigs RAM / Windows 7 x64. This is normal?

Yes, certainly a known issue for version 0.49/0.50. :(

I care about the resolve of this issue passionately and I'm hopeful some future fixes for this shall come.

I have already dreamt of a possible new fix method for this: http://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.php?f=60&t=25768

...Furthermore XnViewMP in future needs to have ability to run in system tray (Windows) & run at startup in background these solutions will all speeds things up much faster.
