I have turned off "Scan file headers in folders" to speed up the directory listing.
However, after I have viewed (or Previewed) an image, I would like to see the image properties (dimensions' e.g. 2000x1333) for all viewed images in the properties column. This has the added bonus (for me at least), that I know which images I have viewed.
BTW, this is how ACDSee works when the auto-scanning is turned off.
Show Image Properties (dimensions) in Column

Re: Show Image Properties (dimensions) in Column
So when you have previewed a file, labels or column must be updated, right?
Pierre.
Re: Show Image Properties (dimensions) in Column
I am not sure what a label is? If you meant descriptions, they always show up regardless of if the headers are scanned or not.xnview wrote:So when you have previewed a file, labels or column must be updated, right?
What I was referring to was the Properties column that shows the size (e.g. 2000x1333). Because the headers are not scanned they are all blank when starting.
However, after viewing an image, the row value for that image should be updated to show 2000x1333. After watching a 2nd image the row value for that image is also updated. Thus, thus now showing a total of two property values etc..

+1 for this request
when you have seen an image, update the properties column with image widthXheight
also if the "Scan file headers in folders" is disabled (this is the first choice)
or at least, use an hot key for temporarly turning on the "scan file ..." for the current directory.
Normally i've the option disabled (for speed) but when i need to sort for dimension (also if i've read all the files one by one) the
column properties it's not update and i need to go in setup for enabling and after the update disabling this option ...
