0.51 Mac ICC Color profile not working

Post by itsskin »

Hi!
Thank you for amazing software! By date - the best image viewer on Mac.
But no matter what I do - I can not make XnViewMP display colours correctly on calibrated monitor under Mac. Photoshop, ViewIt, Preview - all display the files correctly.
I manually point to display profile under ICC tab, but nothing changes at all. Is this function working yet?
Thx,
Ilya

Which ICC settings do you use?

Use ICC profile for monitor
Custom (point to monitor profile, created with i1Display 1 Pro)
Default profile of picture sRGB.
Rendering - Perceptual.

Actually, no matter what I change - picture stays the same incorrect.
Thx!

Hmm...on my machine under firefox the source file and the xnview-windowed one on the screenshot have the same icc colour space and the other three on the screenshot have the wrong one...? So the xnview-one is the only correct one...?

Confused here...!

Firefox in not color-aware program. Use Photoshop/Preview/ViewIt/Acdsee. They work with colour profiles correctly.

Do you have a difference if you activate ICC in XnViewMP or not?

Obliviously in your setup it works.
Seems there is a problem how XNView works with profiles on different systems. As you can see - in my case other programs "still" show colors correctly :)

I've checked on Mac, and same thing...

I uncheck ICC, open the picture file first, and a second times
I enable ICC, and in the second tab, i use File>Reload
