Integration with Opera

Post by Guest »

For those who use the Opera browser it's easy to add an "Open in XnView" option when right-clicking on an image.

You need to add the following into the [Image Link Popup Menu] and [Image Popup Menu] sections of your menu.ini file:

Item, "Open image for editing in XnView"=Copy image & Execute program, "C:\path\XnView-win\xnview.exe", "-clipaste"

Obviously, substitute 'path' for where you have XnView installed. All of Opera's menus options are stored in an ini file. Mine is stored here:

C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Application Data\Opera\Opera7\profile\menu\standard_menu (1).ini

This works on Opera 7 running on XP Home. I can't vouch for any variation on this. The original idea and information on how to do this came from here: http://www.aimwell.org/Help/Tips/tips.html

Hope you find this useful.

Personally, I don't use Opera for browsing, but this sounds like a very good hint. Thanks, Twiggy!
