MTS thumbnail

In the thumbnails the MTS (AVCHD) files from my Panasonic camera are not displayed (only a symbol is shown).
The strange is, that xnview-preview window is able to display the MTS video.
Other videos lik MOV are correctly displayed in the thumbnail but not MTS videos.
What I'm doing wrong? I think I have correctly installed the codec, since the preview
does work with the MTS. Does anyone have an idea?
