Ideas for XnView by iLucato

Hi dev team and users. Here I'll post all ideas that came to my mind while using the amazing XnView and will keep posting as soon they show up again. :0) Here they are:

1) 'Keywords' character limit:
It would be great if possible to increase the 'Keywords' character limit on IPTC tab. Now a days it just handles 505 characters and always cuts my keywords which usually have up to 1000 characters.

2) A basic search in the main window:
IMHO, it would be very useful to have in the toolbar the following item, three checkboxes, one dropdownlist and one input field in this order:
[ ] EXIF [x] IPTC [Keywords... V ] [_________________________________] [x] Subfolders
It would be placed on the right side of the Favourites/HD address input field.
So, this way the user would quickly search for keywords within IPTC and after entering the keyword and hitting enter or GO, it brings already the filtered results into the browser windows, as it was Windows Explorer (W7) search.
So, if checked IPTC, the dropdown list will show all categories within IPTC to search into, after picking one, the user types the wished criteria withing the input field and opt if want to search also into subfolders. The same if opted for Exif.

3) Search window (check boxes for folders and/or Favourites):
IMHO, it would be very useful to have in the 'Look in" the root structure with check boxes and I would check the folders I want XnView to search into and/or use already the existing option "Favourites" and would have a checkbox under "Look in:" input field like "[ ] look in favorites only". So instead of performing the search in the whole HD, I would select 4 or 5 different folders or just check the "[ ] look in favorites only" and save time in my searches and results.

4) A quick file search in the main window:
IMHO, it would be very useful to have in the toolbar where we have the address/path bar, an input field to quick search a filename just typing the file name and hitting enter, once the folder or root is already selected on the left panel

5) Folders and Search window (Look in selected folder):
IMHO, it would be very useful to have a "Search..." option when we right click on a folder, so it would open the search window with the 'Look in" path already selected in the selected folder. When the search is clicked from the icon on menu bar, it brings normally the latest path within the "Look in". Or as default when we click on Search icon it would open the search window with the 'Look in" path already selected with the selected folder and have a button "Use Latest path", so when hitting on it, it would use the latest path we had used instead of the selected folder.

6) Copy/Paste IPTC data:
When we right click on a thumbnail would have a option copy IPTC data where it would open a pop-up with check boxes to select what I want to copy from this image to paste on to another. E.g.:
[_] Caption
[x] Keywords
[x] Category
[X] Copyright
[_] Object name
[ OK ] [ CANCEL]
So, by selecting the checboxes it would just copy the selected fields and when I right click on other image and select PASTE IPTC, it will paste/replace the checked fields.

7) Copy/Paste IPTC data to search results:
Still talking aboult copy past as in item 6 above, it would be very, very, very useful, to have a way to select multiple images and get to paste the same content in several images at once. So, let's supose I use a search and get 4 results, I would select these 4 images, hit IPTC tab and click twice on the field Keywords to edit it, would paste the keywords and XnView would paste it in the 4 selected images at once. The same for any field I click twice to edit and paste into.
