Extracting multiple photos from a TIFF file

Post by BlueMax »

How do you use XnView to extract multiple images (pages) from a .TIF file? Our HP scanner, by default, is scanning multiple photos off the scanner bed, but then saves the individual photos in a single file. We wouldn't mind, except that we can't get the images extracted so we can use them. Any ideas on how to extract the images to single files?

By the way, isn't there a help file, other than the Wiki where we can search the whole help document for such questions as these?

Thanks

Open the tiff file, then go tools->multipage file->extract all (or extract all into). Extract all will open all the pages in xnview, at which point you can save them manually. Extract all into will auto-save the images to a directory & in a format of your choosing.
