Scanner not found (Synology DS212+)

Post by bbi »

Hi,
I am using a new Synology DS212+ NAS as Print Server for my Canon Printer/Scanner.
XnView ist my Software which I use since years for scanning documents.
Unfortenatly it is not possible to use the scanner/printer functionalty any
longer out of xnview.
Printing from other programs is possible.

Any Idea what I can do?

Thanks!

Regards, Boris

Hi,

sorry that I did not mention that: XnView shows a message that the MFP (Multi Functional Printer) is offline. I will upload a picture end of today.

The MFP is shown in the list when I select the function XnView/Menu/File/Select Twain source.

In the Admin view of the DS212+ NAS the MFP is signed as "Online". As I mentioned printing out of other programms (e.g. Word) is possible.

Hi,
meanwhile I found out that the error message "Communication with the Scanner not possible ..." is
raised by the scanner driver and not by XnView.

Nevertheless the problem still exits and I have no glue what to do.
