Kyocera Mita scans black and white reversed

Twain scanning from Kyocera Mita KM 3035, KM 4035, KM 5035, KM 2550 all result in images with black swapped for white, i.e., negative images. Any control I'm not seeing here? Any remedy?

you can use Image>negative after
