Better control on slideshow

I use xnview to create short and simple photo slideshows for family as it can create exe files with sound.
I use audacity to create the sound track. Generation of exe is important for me to keep high quality.
I was asked by an association to create a slideshow. It will include at most 200 photos for a foreseen duration of 15 to 20 mn.
I reach the limits of xnview : no possibility to generate text slides, no control of each photo display duration, no control on transitions (type and duration), difficulty to synchronise the sound with image...
Do you foresee to improve this function ( already asked for in http://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.p ... ilit=diapo )?
The function should remain simple (perhaps not to developp!) like in "windows movie maker" as beyond this it exists dedicated slideshow SW.
If there are some ways I don't know to overcome xnwiew limitations, could you please indicate them.
