There are 2 features I would like to better keep track of ongoing work:
First one I have already mentioned here: http://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.php?f=60&t=27079. A time stamp which shows when a file last has been launched from within Xnviewmp. Additionally to the timestamp it would be great to have the possibility to sort yb this time stamp and to filter by this time stamp as well (files that have already been accessed/files that never have been accessed).
Also it would be gread to have a visual indicator in browser view. This could be to display a certain background colour for all files that have been accessed/never have been accessed.
The second request to keep track of ongoing work would be to be to save current session. which means that xnviewmp stores the currently selected file on exit and when you open xnviewmp again the last selected file is preselected so that you can continure from where you have left.
These features would be great.
Feature request: Keep track

Just for Browser only or for Viewer too?soulky wrote:There are 2 features I would like to better keep track of ongoing work:

This already exists in XnView 0.51. Aren't you aware of the 'sessions feature' ?soulky wrote:The second request to keep track of ongoing work would be to be to save current session. which means that xnviewmp stores the currently selected file on exit and when you open xnviewmp again the last selected file is preselected so that you can continure from where you have left.

Re: Feature request: Keep track
In the viewer you are actually viewing the file so I don´t see any need for a visual indicator that this files has been/has not yet been accessed.budz45 wrote:Just for Browser only or for Viewer too?
My idea is something similiar to the read/unread indicator for emails. Files that never have been launched from within xnviewmp should have an "unread" state and a selectable background colour. Files that have already been accessed have normal background and the appropriate timestamp in their database.
And it should be possible to filter and to sort by read/unread state and also by timestamp (ascending/descending/timestamp present/timestamp not present)
And similiar to emails maybe an option to reset the read state into unread again.

No. There is a setting called confirm save session on exit but this does not do anything. No matter if I swith it on or off there is never a confirmation dialog nor does it start where I left. In the browser I always start from the top of the list.budz45 wrote:This already exists in XnView 0.51. Aren't you aware of the 'sessions feature' ?
