I currently use both programs (in the newest version).
I just opened a DNG file from my camera with around 19MB.
i saved it with XnViewMP as TIFF and got a 9MB file.
Then i saved it with XnView as TIFF and the file was 23MB.
Both have the setting "none" for color.
Why is this possible?

Different compression setting?
The TIFF formats supports several alternative compression options. You could check the file properties to see which, if any, compression method was used for your XnView and XnViewMP saved images.

The problem is not the compression.
The RAW file has a dimension of 4072x3048 px.
The TIF with XnView hat the same dimensions, the one with XnViewMP only 2036x1522.
How can this happen?
