Windows 8 64 bit installation

I downloaded XnView (v1.99.6) and installed in Windows 8 (64 bit).

It locks up when trying to view a folder with mixed types of files.

I am not sure if I have the correct 64bit version installed.

Any help would be awesome.

Do you have video files in this folder? With a folder of jpeg files, problem too?

1: The first time I installed XnView v1.99.6 Standard version (JPEG2000) Setup (Multi-language) it locked up when attempting to open a large folder.

2: Removed the installation.

3: Installed XnView Shell Extension Setup 64bits

4: Installed XnView v1.99.6 Standard version (JPEG2000) ZIP file (Multi-language)

It works perfectly now, I am not sure but the setup version may be flawed, the zip version works!

If you reinstall the setup package, do you have the same problem?

After installing Setup installation it locked up, I then removed setup install and the old zip install also locked up.

After further investigation I have determined that the Artcam file format (.art) is the cause of the lockup.

Is it possible to add a feature to XnView to view thumbnails of .art files?
