File information (i) ON by default
Hi. I just discovered that if I hit "i" (File Information) when vieweing an image I can tag/untag the image using the "t" key. If I don't hit "i" and I hit the "t" key, nothing happens. So I'd like to know if it's possible to have the "File Information" on by default, since tagging/untagging when vieweing an image is crucial to my workflow. Thanks in advance!
Re: File information (i) ON by default
Hmm, I thought by default the on/off state of the file information was kept until the user switches it off, again.
I just looked up in the "Options" dialog, "View" category, but couldn't find anything. And in the UI-less settings there's nothing, either.
Would be a helpful setting, though. Perhaps you can use the window title which can consist of several place holders (Tools > Options | View | Title bar)

Thanks for the idea, helmut! I tried to use <Tag status> on the window title but unfortunately it didn't work.
It's annoying to hit "i" everytime I have to tag pictures, but at least now I can tag them...

Re: File information (i) ON by default
<Tag status> is the correct place holder (as one can see in Show information of Fullscreen), but for some reason I don't know it does not work in view mode. I'd consider this as a bug.karina wrote:Thanks for the idea, helmut! I'm afraid there's not much you can do.
@Pierre:
- Could the setting of "Show information" in viewer mode also be kept over sessions?
- Is there a reason why place holder <Tag status> is not supported in View mode?
