RC5: Compare Dialog: Close one image

Post by JohnFredC »

Note: Subject has been renamed from "RC5: Compare Dialog Last Button on Right" to "RC5: Compare Dialog: Close one image"

Say you select 4 images to compare, then decide you don't need to compare one of them. It would be great to be able to remove one image without affecting the other three.

In the Compare Dialog, the last button on the right offers to move the respective image to the recycle bin.

I think that function should be changed (or a new button added) to remove the image from the comparison group.

Perhaps the same as your unlink request...

Hi Pierre!
Perhaps the same as your unlink request...
Well, not exactly. Maybe I used the wrong words.

In my unlink request I was addressing the need to independently recenter one of the images in the Compare and then resume synchronized scrolling of all of them.

This request is for a button (in the compare dialog) to remove an image from a comparison set without deleting it from disk.

I suggest to add "Close (image)" also to the context menu for each image.

:) Hi again !
- According with the John's request, I would prefer (a) small ‹Close› button(s) on the dialogue itself…

Option above is still missing.

Moved back to "New/Open".

:) Hi !
- Still missing here in 1.80 final PR. No button, no menu entry…
- In French and in English, hence this has not be added in the program yet.

In XnView 1.80.1, there is a menu button for "Close image" but there is no context menu entry for it.
