There's this issue where when XnViewMP starts it takes up a long time to load the application.
The issue appeared recently I don't know exactly why? Last major change I did was some updates:
Security Update for Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5.1 on Windows 7 SP1 x86 (KB2804579)
Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer 9 for Windows 7 (KB2829530)
Update for Windows 7 (KB2813956)
Security Update for Windows 7 (KB2829361)
Update for Windows 7 (KB2820331)
Security Update for Microsoft .NET Framework 4 on XP, Server 2003, Vista, Windows 7, Server 2008 x86 (KB2804576)
Security Update for Windows 7 (KB2830290)
Security Update for Internet Explorer 9 for Windows 7 (KB2847204)
Cumulative Security Update for ActiveX Killbits for Windows 7 (KB2820197)
Update for Windows 7 (KB2798162)
After this and everything else the same, the starting became slow for the first launch. If I executed further instances (each image in its own) it starts fast, but once I close all instances and try a new one it aces up again.
I also had Superfetch disabled in WIn 7 (32bit), and after noticing XnViewMP creates a prefetch file, I reenabled the service.
Along with XnViewMP's prefetch file with the same timestamp there's a dllhost.exe prefetch file, maybe MS changed something and requires dllhost to run something before XnViewMP is allowed to run... don't know.
It all happened suddenly, before this there were the very same settings and the application was launching fast enough.
Now it seems it's launching fast again... what could have been the issue? MS related tinkering with Windows prefetch system?
0.53 strange appearance, it became slow all of a sudden.
